Whenever I see an old atlas while thrifting, I never pass it up. Not only do I love vintage books, but lately I've also been using old maps for crafting and in my home decor. I recently found and listed some pages from a copy of The Literary Digest 1927 Atlas of the World and Gazetteer. You can find them in the "crafts" section of my online shop.
These pages have been torn out of the book and are perfect for using in collages, garlands, ornaments, and other fun projects. I kept a few maps for myself and I've been using and reusing them in different ways.
In my booth I clipped them up on a piece of string and created a travel inspired garland.
At home I've been using them as gift wrapping embellishments and that's been really fun!
And at Christmas, I rolled the maps and tied them onto a little tree, for a travel inspired holiday.
I hope you enjoy these ideas. How would you use these vintage maps? I have 24 loose leaf map pages in my shop and I'm selling them as a bundle for anyone who wishes to do some crafting or decorating with them. They are small maps (6 x 9.5) so there are lots of ways they can be used. If you end up purchasing them, I would love to see how you use them. Don't forget to send a pic or tag me in one. Thanks for reading! - Nicole Mendez, Curator

I am loving this idea for upcycled vintage chandelier crystals via Two Purple Couches blog. She has a step-by-step tutorial posted for turning old chandelier crystals into beautiful necklaces using suede cord and a few standard jewelry-making supplies.
