OVERVIEW: I'm so excited to share this gorgeous master bedroom design with you! Our goal was to create a look that is stately but modern and cozy, but not too feminine, in this large master bedroom suite. 

As interior designers, we LOVE when we can give our client something they've always wanted. We are also pretty good at helping our "couple clients" compromise when it comes to design decisions. In this case Mrs. had always wanted a four-poster bed. To be honest, I think it's something that a lot of us ladies dream about having at some point or another. Something about a poster bed just screams regal and romantic! However, Mr. had a very specific (and not necessarily accurate) vision in his head of what a poster bed would look like. He didn't want the room to feel overly feminine.  

Luckily the tall ceiling in this room did allow for a poster bed and I promised the Mr. that we could deliver a design that included the bed of his wife's dreams, while keeping it modern and a little manly too. Our final result was successful! We used a King size Whitaker Four Poster Bed in black from Serena & Lily, and on either side, placed a large three-drawer nightstand from Pottery Barn. There was plenty of room in front of the bed for a small sitting area so we used two brown leather swivel chairs and an oval coffee table with marble top from Crate & Barrel.

We grounded the bed and everything around it with the large Myrna performance rug from Arhaus. On the wall opposite the windows, our client will be installing a 9 frame gallery wall with photos of family and travel. We are recommending this pre-packaged frame set from Bed, Bath & Beyond for an easy solution.
