Since shop work has slowed down a bit during this quarantine, I thought I'd share some photos from my first booth at Pomona Antique Mart. Hopefully this might even give you some ideas for setting up your own antique mall booth. I love my new space up front at Pomona Antique Mart, but I do actually miss my old booth sometimes!
My old spot was a simple 8' x 13' rectangle which was open to foot traffic on one side only. Before moving in, my dad and I installed black and white stick on laminate tiles. I think the floor is what I miss most about my old space!
I always tried to maximize display space by creating an aisle-way up the middle for customers to wander around. I want my booth to feel organized and easy to shop, but still have loaded bins of treasures for people to pick through. It was a bit cramped but it seemed to work. I was in this space for about 2 years before moving up to my current space in the front corner of the antique mart.
I've been meaning to put a post together with my tips for running a successful antique mall booth. Hopefully that will come soon. Until then, if you have any questions or just want to talk with another vintage dealer, I'm always open to chat. If you want to see my current space at Pomona Antique Mart, click here.
