Dropping in a kitchen island vision board to set the scene for all the cooking and entertaining to look forward to in the new year! Wooden accents like these simple counter stools and rustic cutting boards make the space feel perfectly cozy. I always love a classic light like this 6-arm black chandelier. The oversized fixture would make a statement in any design. A low-pile rug makes cleaning up those kitchen messes a breeze, and the earthy tones add a much needed pop of color to the space. The marble-topped rolling island is a convenient and low-commitment way to add extra counter space to kitchens that may be lacking.

Dropping in some Christmas-themed bedroom decor, because every room deserves a dose of holiday spirit! How cute are these throw pillows? While great in the context of this winter decor combo, they’d look great in the bedroom all year long. I can’t ever get enough of woodland-inspired decorations, and am so into these vintage brass deer figurines! Vintage accessories are great for giving a little character to a room. If you’re like me and feel like you can never have too many Christmas trees, then this tabletop tree from West Elm could be a perfect fit for dressing up your space! It’s on sale now and still arrives well before Christmas.

If you’ve been keeping up with me on my instagram or LTK page, you’ve probably seen some snapshots from me working on my own living room refresh — naturally, I’ve had living rooms on the brain! I’ve been loving this southwestern rug from Wayfair of all places. It gives a perfect neutral effect with little pops of color, and is a total steal for the size. Mixing the materials of a sofa and other seating in the room always makes a design more dynamic. I love the combo of a velvet sofa paired with leather chairs! The black metal of the casual butterfly chair ties into both the legs of the minimal coffee table and the industrial electric fireplace. A quality electric fireplace can add so much ambiance to a room without the costs and struggle of a renovation!
